Story mode is the core story mode, containing five dungeons, each containing ten songs apiece, each with their own enemies, boss, and environment to explore. Only very rare and powerful equipment actually get benefits from higher difficulty levels, reserved for expert players. However, the RPG combat is balanced equally across all difficulty levels. The harder the difficulty, the more complicated the choreography gets, and the more complex the interpretation of the song. How do the different difficulty levels work?Įvery song has three human-choreographed sets of four note tracks to play. There are three difficulties in The Metronomicon - Easy, Medium and Hard. The Metronomicon is built in a custom engine in Java Russian, Traditional Chinese and Japanese might be good options due to the interest shown, but right now those are early numbers and not enough for us to know if we should pursue these localizations.
